Mahopac Movie Night,

Are you looking for the perfect way to end your summer? We have a great community event for you. The Mahopac Football & Cheer program is having Mahopac’s FIRST EVERY outdoor movie night.  Remember when you were a kid, going to the drive-in theater, blankets, lawn chairs, friends, family and good times.

Come join us and show your support by being a part of this first ever community event.  Saturday September 18^th, at the Mahopac High School campus. View “The Blind Side” (PG-13) with Sandra Bullock on a GIANT outdoor movie screen. Show Time 8:00 PM.  Come early, save your spot and enjoy live music by Local bands, performances starting at 6:00 PM by Dani Tersani, Dead – End, and  Other bands. Our concession stand will be open for all sorts of treats. (Rain Date September 25^th)

Important Facts About BEATING The Guinness World Record

• $6.00 Registration Fee will cover all costs and remainder will be a donation to MSA. (no refunds)
• Open to all kids, parents, coaches, teachers, college students, etc. (Do not need to be a Mahopac Resident).
• First come basis - FIRST 2000 registrants – Will CLOSE registration at 2,000 participants and start a waitlist.
• Registrant must commit to a two-hour time frame (this allows for sign in, lane assignments, wait time, run time and sign out). After you have run your 100 meters, you may leave.
• In Order to BEAT the Record, each runner has to run 100 meters in 20 seconds.
• On average, kids in Grades 1-8 can run 100 meters in 16-24 seconds and Track Stars in HS can run it in 11-15 seconds.
• If you question your time, we will have clinics at Mahopac HS Track to test your time.
• We need to beat Cavan Gaelic Athletic Association, at the Kingspan Breifne Park, Cavan, Ireland, who broke record in June, 2009 with 1986 Participants.
• It is important that each Participant confirm their participation as we are trying to break a Guinness World Record.
